Been doing some trading. Traded my 51 desoto for a 1975 Trans am. looking to get a 40.
1975 T/A with a bored out, mildly cammed Pontiac 400 out of a 1969 GTO. Rebuilt trans and rear end. No rust. needs paint and front ground effects. Interior ok. has some dash cracks and other wear. Front seats have covers but are shot underneath. rear seat and headliner perfect. Glass perfect. Tires good.
No rust.
Has some electrical gremlins as some cheeseball put LED lights under it back in the 90's probably. It was obviously well taken care of by someone who had no taste.
The guy I got it from spray-bombed it white and didn't do a great job of taping off stuff. overspray a plenty.
Low NADA book is $11k. This is not an $11k car. I plan on sending it to the body shop for paint in the next few weeks. Won't take much to be really nice.
Looking for a 40 without major rust. engine unimportant. Later model preferred.
Longshot but what the hell...why not ask?
