Hey guys,
A friend of mine wants to sell his 1975 FJ-40, all stock. He has asked for my help and I told him I would post it to our club site only. This is the first time this vehicle has been offered and it has not been posted anywhere else.
Here is what I know:
Owner: Dr. Bud Brazil (a retired doc)
Number: (828) 277-6443
Cruiser: Green FJ-40, 1975
Condition: Typical unrestored 40, but all stock. Still has drums, some electrical issues, worn steering links, probably needs a new carb and intake/exhaust manifold (LEAKS). Disc conversion would likely solve brake issues. Service Tech Don (a cruiser tech from calif. now at Mostly Toyotas) recommends tune up, valve adjustment and compresion test. Basically, Don told me this cruiser needs an owner who understands the needs of a 40.
Service: Mostly Toyotas in Asheville for years (828) 253-4981, and they are willing to talk about this cruiser's issues.
Rust: Of course, but by no means a rust bucket. Paint appears to be original.
Price: $7500, which is negotiable.
My End: None, just helping another cruiser addict by hooking him up with others.
No, I dont have photos, but I have sat in it and walked around it a couple of times.
