haha, no no. Ive got the metal to use and figured what the heck! Nothing wrong with overkill, thats probably what i should call this project...OverKill!

Thanks again Ramon and Greg for meeting me today to exchange everything. And again thanks Ramon for the knuckles! (might need two studs if you have any available). Trip looks awesome! ill be there next time......I hope!

Looks good man. I'm trying to get a 40 to build.

If you ever need an extra set of hands shoot me a PM. State can be a little boring on Saturday afternoons with no football.

Took some time this weekend away from the frame and body and tried to finish up the engine. I got a large order in from my diesel buddy to finish buttoning this thing up. I changed the thermostat, tore down the oil-cooler and replaced gaskets, fabricated and mounted a new turbo oil drain pipe, mounted the flywheel housing, flywheel, clutch assembly, starter, alternator and new serpentine belt. With a little plumbing shes ready to fire up!

Dont call it overkill, call it Frankenstein, because that thing is going to be a monster my friend.

Martin,

Name your price for what it would take for you to come over and fab up a rear bumper/crossmember/gussets for my 40. I'm going to have to have some major work done, almost exactly like what you've done to yours. Only problem is, tub is still on mine...

Only problem is, tub is still on mine...

That is a problem, I boxed the rear section of my frame once before(with the tub on) and it was a major pain. So hard to weld like that. As far as my help.....I would be glad to help if i can find the time away from my cruiser, haha. What im going to do next is completely box in these new boxed areas so i wont have the issue of mud or slag or anything else getting trapped in there.

Nice work Martin! Wish it was closer so I could help out and be a part of this build.

Droooool

Nice something different.....you make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing.:)

Came home for "singles awareness weekend" and a big step. I was able to build a huge hoist that will assist in lifting the body on and off the frame through out my build numerous times. Got the body off the old frame and onto the new rolling chassis. Got some motor mounts but simply ran out of gas, weekend was long.
