Reluctantly selling my pig, I love this pig, but I'm working on a new business venture that will have me traveling to Japan a lot and I could use some extra capital for that, and I already have a few other cars I need to finish.
I bought this a couple years ago from a member on here: welshdragon79.
It was a rad build and he already had done a lot of good work.
Since I got it from him, I continued to work on it, fixing some more wiring and the charging system and put in 2 optima yellow tops. Hooked up the fog lights on the bumper. Rellaced the side mirrors with slightly better condition Oem ones.
I had the transfer case rebuilt with new seals to fix a leak and reinforced the transfer case mounts (they were steel tabs previously and made me a little nervous) and added a skid plate under the tcase. I also repaired some shock mounts, replaced the front shocks and added a much sturdier full tank mount. Put in a cheap center console and a new heater core.
I put on some black steel wagon wheels and some 35" Mickey Thompsons.
I bought a rebuilt 6.2 and put on a new water pump, etc, and put that in (old one was tired) and did a new exhaust (didn't like it going through the slider).
Added an aluminum radiator from a big block Chevy and dual Fal fans.
I sanded the roof to remove all surface rust and painted it with rustoleum anti rust primer and white paint.
Also got a conferr rack for it. Currently the heater isn't working, having investigated yet, but I think it's the switch for the blower motor.
Here's his thread:
I've been converted, '71 FJ55 w/ diesel swap
My CL add:
