QUOTED FROM eBay LISTING:
"My beloved Pig needs a new home. I searched high and low for this beauty years ago. This one is a CA cruiser which explains why she didn't rot like most of them do. I don't think you can find a better one and if you did it would cost a small fortune. This FJ55 has been loved and pampered and a part of our family. The body, and frame are as good as you could hope to find on an FJ55. The paint job is nearly 11 years old and it shines as if it was done last week. But being 11 years old the condition of the paint speaks to the condition of the metal underneath, this is a clean truck and it doesn't have rust cancer lurking underneath.

The original F engine and three speed transmission are still in my possession as I wanted to always be able to put it back to original spec if the mood ever struck. But I updated the FJ55 with a SBC crate motor for better performance, reliability and so that I could take her on the insane Atlanta interstates. She will flat out boogey compared to the original motor. I also upgraded the transmission to a 4 speed from an FJ60.

If you have been looking for a turn key FJ55 then this is it. This rig has been built right and most importantly it looks awesome and you won't have to spend thousands of dollars on rust repairs.

Odds and ends

Knuckle is fresh and good
battery is less than 6 months old
Tires/brakes are great
Rear power window works like it should
Roof is in excellent condition as are the drip rails
Rear tire carrier is from Iron Pig Offload
I have boxes of spare parts that I will include with the sale
Sold with bill of sale and I do have the original CA title."

Looks like the person was on here originally. Iron pig pres society sticker on the what im assuming is a IPOR rear carrier.

Final Sale Price: $12,201

Although there were lots of red flags with this one (i.e. rust bubbles on the hood, stripped dash, and interior bedliner), if as otherwise described I'd say someone got a good deal on a nice driver.

This is my Pig, kind of feel like I dodged a bullet when buyer flaked, which I think is the norm now selling on EBay. Guess I need to do some soul searching on whether to just keep her in the pen or sell her off to a new owner. Honestly I was shocked where it ended up but I guess we all think more of our stuff than what the market bears.

She is a dandy though and I think as rust free as a pig can be. Come on Shelbs that tiny "bubble" on the leading edge of the hood can't be a red flag on 11 year old paint. On a Pig it's just a beauty mark, like Cindy Crawfords mole!,

The JDM Deerfields are good wheels but it certainly would be the cats meow with a widened set of steelies.
I ran it for a while on stock steelies but they felt like bias-ply tires as the hp and torque from SBC spun them without much effort.

if I get the bug again I will try selling on Mud.

Be well Pig Brothers

My apologies. You are correct, it certainly isn't (or shouldn't be) a red flag on 11yo paint. I was being overly nitpicky, but only because I couldn't believe how little it went for originally! It's a great looking rig, GLWS!!!
