I know a guy who has a 1971 40 for sale. It has lots of rust and according to him was running three years ago when he parked it. He bought it in the early 90s as a farm truck from a logger who was the original owner. He's asking $900 but he may be flexible. I was going to get it but I wanted something that I could get running and piddle around in. This would take more than I wanted to do but maybe someone wants a parts truck or something of that sort.

He told me it was parked in a barn when it was parked beside the barn. That makes a huge difference. He also said it was in rough shape when he bought it but the hood was down when I walked up to it. It made me sad too for what that's worth.

Actually, everything on the truck(a) looks ok to me except the floorboards, seats, and drivetrain.

Coincidentally, All that is really left on Lorena(b) is the floorboards, seats and drivetrain.

so a + b = ???

I think most of that will buff out

There's a project for you. It could be our club mascot.
