I have a solid 71 fj40 up for sale. It is a rust free cruiser. I bought it with the intention to finish it and give it to my wife. Life got in the way so it must go. It has a fresh small block chevy 350, turbo 350 tranny and a twin stick transfer case. None of them leak any fluid. I was told when the engine was rebuilt the tranny was too. Fluid looks great and doesn't smell burnt. I bought it from a guy who wanted to do a frame offor restoration, but didn't have the time/knowledge to complete the project. He daily drove it to take his kids to school and to work and back. With only a few parts it will be a daily driver again. It needs a new wiring harness, steering g wheel and steering g linkage.
For a couple hundred dollars and a weekend you can have a solid, driveble and reliable cruiser.
Brand new GM tilt column.
HEI ignition
Power brakes
Linex spray on bed liner professionally done on the inside of the tub.
Hurst shifter
Brand new upholstery for front bench, buckets, and rear jump seats
Every kind of bracket, tab, and bolt on pieces. Piles and Piles of parts.
Extra set of white steel wheels.

I have A TON of spare parts. More than a pickup bed load of parts. If you part it out you could get more than I am asking. There are basically two of everything. Most nuts and bolts are in labeled bags. Tons of extra bolts. The hard top is in great shape and I have extra glass. I have all of the seals and trim kits for the top and doors and everything else.

I hate to sell it because it will be terribly hard to find another cruiser that is this solid and without rust. I looked for a long time to find one in this good of shape. There have been a few crinkles that were fixed in the tub. All of which was done before the inside was stripped, primed and coated with linex.

Did I mention there is not any rust. There is a link to some more pictures at the bottom. Cash talks so make an offer. Call, text or email. If I can't answer please leave a voice-mail.
Thanks,
George
