** Do you have an FJ that you are willing to trade? Let me know as soon as possible! **
Hello, name's Justin and I am selling my 1969 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback. It has the original 1600 fuel-injected air-cooled motor which was rebuilt approximately 30k miles ago, according to the previous owner. The 4-speed manual transmission has been replaced with a quality used unit, about 2 months ago.
I drive this car about 50 miles per week, to my girlfriends house and back every weekend. The motor idles great, and does not shut off at all, EVER! It takes a short while to start in the mornings, but I guess that's what I get for using 20w50 motor oil, I use it with all my cars and have been for the past ten years.
The car was lowered by adjusting the torsion beam, this can be reverted if you'd like. I included a quick list of the good and the bad. Below, there is a link to more pictures. PLEASE NOTE, this Squareback is one of 72 Squarebacks registered in California. There are a total of only 220 Squarebacks registered in North America. Check out the registry link. Thanks for your interest.

The Bad:
- Dent on driver's side door (not pictured, I have a perfect condition spare door as well)
- Leaks a bit of oil
- Turn signals are not operational (all wiring checked, a new turn signal switch is needed)
- Cracked dashboard pad
- No headliner
- Needs new carpet
- Windsheild wiper motor is on the fritz
- Window rubber seals need to be replaced
- Driver's seat needs to be welded to the floorpan
The Good:
- The body is straight, and the pan is RUST FREE!
- CLEAR TITLE!!!
- Quality rebuilt transmission installed about 2 months ago (by a trusted local shop with receipts)
- New clutch in with new transmission
- New pair of front brake rotors complete with all new wheel studs (less than 6 months ago)
- Everywhere I go, I get compliments on this car. Truly an attention getter
- Original interior (minus the carpet & headliner)
- Original vent wing windows are operational
- Original Fuel Injection
- All doors and windows are fully operational, they lock/unlock/open/close without ANY problems whatsoever!
- Any/all accessories you see on this car are included (foglights, eyebrows etc.)
If I forgot anything, I am sure it will come to mind by the time you contact me. Once again, I am located in Monterey. An hour south of San Jose. I can post more pics if any of you show any interest. Thanks! Act now and own yourself a piece of Air-Cooled history! - Justin
