"This Landcruiser is smog exempt. It has a small block Chevy 350 engine, turbo 350 automatic transmission, Ford 9' rear end, disc brakes and power steering as well as a tilt wheel and a Warn wench."
Quote from listing:
"Hi, selling a 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 4x4 wagon. Body is original with original paint and very little rust. The surface rust areas have been treated to not fester any worse but give it a great patina. The steering has been upgraded to power steering, the brakes have been converted to power with discs. A small block 1972 Corvette 350 was cleanly installed ten years ago as well as a turbo 350 automatic transmission matted to a NP205 transfer case. This drivetrain is bullet prove and has been used by Chevy for decades. The rear end has been replaced the the famous ford nine inch out of a early Bronco and has had the axles converted to Toyota six lug to match the front. A tilt steering column was installed for comfort and ease of driving. B&M shifter for the drag strip, why not! Back window works great with the gear drive replaced with a stainless steal gear, common problem with the 55. Dual exhaust give a nice rumble but not to loud. Custom stealth 2 inch trailer hitch that is tied into the frame is super strong. Stock steel wheels without the rivets have been installed to clear the disc brakes. Rear seat could used a reapustering and the head liner is out but have all the brakets for a new one. Specter Off Road sells them for about $250.
