I have put on a new weber carb,
re-finished and upholstered seats,
New seal in manifold,
Refinished blower motor,
Refinished horns, wiper motors, gas lines, break lines, steering tie rods.
Re fiished heater and all components,
I have been collecting seals for windows, doors, top...
also all the stainless steel latches and hooks.
New tailgate, wheel humps, and rear valance
and more....

You did all that in 6 days?? Ive had my 45 for about a yr and dont have a finished list that long..

As far as the windshield frame...t believe most if not all 66s did not have the lower vent....Maybe very early in 66 ?? someone might be able to chime in that knows for-sure...

So I quizzed the forum about the pewter paint color in cruisers. I found that the cruisers 67 and earlier were of a slightly darker pewter color. I even found a paint code for both the lighter and darker color (1967 and older T46 Silver Tan Metalic, and 1968 and newer T1434 Metalic gray)as I looked through old posts (paint thread) the problem was, when I got to the shop not one of the codes produced any results. They told me Toyota didn’t publish trim colors back then. I am not sure if they were filling me with bull or not. So I had them match the color using their fancy gadget. The closest match they found is called Honey Beige which is a Honda color YR89M. Keep in mind this is for my 66 so it is supposed to be slightly darker than the 67 + cruisers. It is a really close match. The metal fleck is slightly smaller in size and the hew is slightly less greenish. I did see on the paint thread that many restoration shops were using the same honey beige color on their restorations.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that honda code and spray some out. I did a similar research on the pewter and found one old paint code book with one of those early "T" codes for the gray trim and was even successful at getting it mixed at a local (PPG) shop only to find that once it was sprayed out it was not at all the color I expected. It was more tan/beige than silver or pewter. I'd have to go find the paint can to get the code....it may be the color Toyota was using on the gas filler hose shield, center console, etc as it had that beige look to me.

What's your vin#?
My brass tagged 66 has an early 65 vin#, WS vent, and the bug catcher vent windows.
So, your setup is not abnormal.
