I heard a rumor that there will be a LC with every goodie possible and will be in this ridiculous price range. Just wondering if any one else has heard anything like this?

I hope so...it would bring the value up on mine!

This is the first I have heard of it. If it exists I would like to see it, and laugh at the man who buys it. :D

I heard the new TLC Icon "Baja 1000 Edition" was reported as selling (asking price) for well over $100,000. I don't know if well over = 70,000, but this could be the rumored Land Cruiser.

Not to discount the quality or quantity of workmanship that goes into an Icon, but you could own a pretty tricked out 40 (plus a repair budget and a pretty tricked out 80) for $100,000.

But hey, if you got an extra $100,000 lying around, why not.

Extra $100k

I don't know anyone with an extra $100k, those folks don't run in my circle of friends. If I could so boost, I'd retire!

I'm heading up to TLC in a few hours. I'll ask

$120,000 for the Icon and my oh my what a jaw dropper:eek: Wow, just wow

If you all have never been to TLC I highly recommend a quick stop over. Man, there were probably 20 different cruisers of various vintages around the parking lot and alley. I met Ray, who I'm not sure if he owns TLC or is the service manager or what, but he's a pretty cool guy and straight shooter. His time is expensive ($95/hr), so I wont likely be having him do repairs on my rig, but still a very knowledgeable guy.

He actually popped the hood on his fj62 for me and fired it up....lets just say he likely has the most kickbutt stock appearing 3F on the planet. I cant remember everything he said he did, but it sounded intense including special injection and imported head and larger ported valves from OZ (still passes emissions apparently). Also has a special air filter he said he engineered and has been running for the last 7 years. Also said he puts them on all the rigs he works on including 80's.

Anyway, it was a cool experience. Got to climb around under the racks and see an overhaul on an 80 in process. He told me my tie rod ends are causing my alignment issues and tire wear and I need to replace my flange to get rid of my little "clunk" noise. I'm super curious to know if he 100% diagnosed two problems that had been bothering me without even touching the rig. We'll see since I'm doing the relay and tie rod ends this weekend. Will replace the flanges in 2 weeks.
