We had a wrench day here in Dallas today. Good times for guys to get together and work on each others trucks. A local airport let us use a hanger, and said they plan on letting us use it whenever we wanted to do the event agian. Also the J

anyway, i plan on taking this thread out in a day or so, and just wanted some quick opinions. I saw some cool FJ's at wrench day and gave me some good ideas for tires and maybe rims. The tires need to be replaced. A few of the trucks were running 16", not TRD. Trail Team said the only 16" they knew that would fit were the TRD, something to do with the size of the disc breaks. Pro Comp had a huge set up out there, and from the sounds of it....they wouldn't sell me a 16" rim for my FJ. I know I could read every thread out here and get all the info I need, but the guys I've been talking with are shooting way low on prices. this is the end of thier show, and the idea was to nor bring any tires or wheels back. so they are dropping prices. i want 16" cause i can fit more rubber....but i don't want to do it at the expense of the quality of the truck. Ideas anyone? should i just stick with the 17"s? Also wanted/or was looking at the 305/70/17's. wheel is 17x9. Give me some thoughts boys and girls, throw a dog a bone!
