Recently iPhone iOS 16 update seems to have broke bluetooth connectivity. Phone does not recognize car anymore. Been using it for 5 years no problems, then music started clipping after iOS 16.2 update. Then I unpaired phone to re-pair, and no dice. Phone does not see car.
Downloaded latest Toyota NAV Firmware to USB, plugged in and looks like I already have latest.
Re-booted phone, reset Network Settings.
Cycled power on NAV through long press VOLUME
Couldn't find the INIT YES function I've read about. Did go to ACCSY Power, Headlights on/off 3x while holding APPS button; got in to systems settings but saw no INIT.

Anybody else having issues? Any thoughts?

I have a similar issue but just with Toyota app. It just doesn’t connect

thanks for the replies. Tried everything I know except heading to dealer and no dice. Phone works in other cars no problems so seems to be obsolescence issue between iPhone and Toyota

Have older iphones to try your theory on? Have you deleted and re-added it to the head unit? Deleted Entune Garbage?

Avoid the dealer - they will just tell you that you need a new head unit. They are technical inept for a situation like this.

good idea. will pull old phone out of drawer to test.

13 Pro Max. iOS 16.3 beta. 2019 LC. Stock headunit.

No issue.

Maybe it is your headunit that is defective?

following this up, got around to testing another iPhone on iOS 15 and it paired no problem. My diagnosis is that my company MDM messed with bluetooth. Glad head unit is ok.

Ok I realized the new app has the connection hidden so not relevant to your issue
