Ok since I've had the 74 I've always needed to ensure the hand throttle was wound up before starting or it wouldn't idle. Even after driving the hand throttle would back itself off and it wouldn't correctly idle by itself.
Eventually today I googled how to adjust the idle on a 13B-T and up came a really cool site: http://repairmanual.free.fr/_engine_manual_3B_13BT.pdf
Printed out the pics, took them down to the car. They suggest that the 'adjusting lever should be touching the idle speed adjusting bolt' once the accelerator is released. I checked my adjusting bolt and it's nowhere near long enough to be touching the lever. Not a snowflakes. But the truck is like dead stock with 100 000km, I don't see why this would be changed from OEM?
Unless there's something I'm missing.
My first thought was to find a longer bolt and whack it in but it seems *twilight zone music* too weird that the 'stock' one is about 1/2" too short.
EDIT: Now that I look at the pics I notice there's two bolts. One in the lever that moves, the other in the plate that is stationary. I ain't got the stationary bolt.
