Question #1. Are 12H-T's readily available in North America?

Question #2. What would one expect to pay for a complete high mileage engine.
........... The intentions are to have the engine completely rebuilt anyway so mileage is not a big issue.
Thanks....

Okay Charles, if you're going to do it then go ahead and buy one for me to. I'm about ready to pull out the 416 Rigby and put a hole through my engine block!

It's not for my HJ75. :)

The 12HTs are not that readily available at all.

Easy bolt in to a vehicle that had a 2H.

Very, very solid and reliable.

Way better injection pump than the 1HDT.

Expect to pay between $5,000 and $10,000 for one - from higher mileage with a compression test to rebuilt.

The 1HD-T is a good engine, somewhat more of them are coming into Canada in the 80 series.

The 12HTs - do not expect too many more to arrive here as they are not that available in Japan any more.

Thanks John, I appreciate the information. A friend of mine is looking for a 12H-T manifold and hasn't been successful in locating one of those either.

I have an almost complete parts 12HT here... the pistons went on it and then there was some money outstanding to me, so I have almost all of the bits - somewhere - to build a 12HT from scratch.

If it's for a turbo conversion, there are manifolds available for that.

What's it going in to?

I have a 2H turbo kit in stock that will fit the 40 series or a RHD 60 series. I will sell it for a really good price $2670 is our old out of date regular price.

Hi Charles;

Funny thing is I have had two of them here for the past two and a half years, and one sold about two weeks ago - the new owner of it is very pleased with the performance. And the second one has been spoken for.

If the deal doesn't close soon, I'll let you know.
