I have a 2004 LC, is there is way to have one of all of the 12 volt accssory plugs work while the vehicle is not running?

I want my plug in cooler and phone charger to still run when I am not in the car.

Thanks for the link it all looks like a pain in the rear. I thought there might be some sort of over ride, I don't want to start rewiring thing in my vehicle.

FWIW, I have killed numerous batteries over the years running coolers. A deep cycle battery, like that used with a trolling motor, would last longer than a cranking battery like you have in your truck. Even if you run the cooler for a couple of hours and catch the battery before it is drained, you will significantly reduce its life span. One day it simply won't take a charge anymore.

Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, I had to experience two battery failures long before their expected life span to figure this out.

No easy override, it's a hard wire job. Also you want to be VERY careful doing this without an aux battery under the hood. Too easy to drain the main battery and then not be able to start your LC. This is why Mr. T didn't provide an easy override.

EDIT: FinallyGotOne! beat me to the Post button!
