Have a boyscout thing at noon I can do about 2 hrs maybe 3hrs anyone opposed to starting earlier?

If I can get my t case issue squared away this week, I could actually run this. Doesn't look like that'll happen though!!!

I plan on going, not sure if I'll drive my 40 or ride along with my son. the high tomorrow is supposed to be 37 so I may skip the open top 40.

Yeah, I was wondering about the weather. If the girlfriend and I can get up early enough, we will be out there. I think a trip to the smokehouse is the motivation…

Spicy pulled pork is motivation enough.

I'll be there in the non club approved XJ, assuming the RTV on the rear axle sets up tonight.

Expert tip: when filling the rear axle, don't use a fill tube short enough to fall into the diff.

Wimp!

Like to attend, where is the staging area? is it the spot off 395s at the top of the hill on the left?

Trip report????
Pics???

FUGGIN slackers!!!!!

It was looking like the Cruiser run was going to be composed entirely of Cherokee's, Joe and I and Will were the only ones there at 8:55. Then Ray rolled in, he looked like he thought he was in the wrong place when he saw two Jeeps and no Cruisers:lol: finally he came on in. A few minutes later Keith S showed up with his GF.

Fearless leader had texted me around 8:00AM that he was going to be a no show so Joe and I took lead in his Cherokee. After I took us on a round about route trying to find Hawks nest we wound up back on Jumbo Grade (pure luck I had no idea where we were:grinpimp:). If I had known we were going to lead I would have looked at some maps last night:hillbilly:.

We screwed around and headed over the top then dropped into VC the back way. Everyone enjoyed some tasty sandwiches then we all headed home.

Pictures to follow, not many but a few.

I remember that it maze. It's confusing for some reason.
Jerky co. Fawking rawks!!! Best BBQ sammiches anywhere!!

I'll post a link as soon as mine are done uploading. Dan, you should have taken Eastlake on your way home. I took more pics of deer today than trails.

We scared up a Buck just before we got back on black top, he jumped up then disappeared. I walked over a little hill and took this picture from maybe fifteen or twenty yards away.

Let me guess, you didn't show just because it pops out of gear. Wuss.

I did a fence repair!! We have a shared fence that my neighbor was hot to get done. So what I thought was gonna be diggin around the posts and re cementing them, turned into diggin out the posts and about 2 ft deep of concrete and replacing them. My neighbor conveniently had to go at 1130...said he was gonna be back at 1 or 130... He didn't come back till around 430 and I was done.
Besides that... My rig isn't registered yet. If we had gone up from damonte ranch... I might have bailed on him too!!

Those fence post suck, I dug one out last weekend. i was here when they were installing them, they had a Bobcat with and augur and a cement truck. The holes were all deep big and filled with plenty of concrete. Got my post set yesterday and plan to finish up tomorrow in the AM. Joe has a nail gun I can use so it should go fast.
