the(US spec) Land Cruiser 100 was originaly slated to have the telloscopic steering wheel when it was 1st introducted to the US........but as we know the Cruiser didn't get this but the Lexus did.

Found this mentioned in a late 97 artical about the new 98 land cruiser

worthless info but there it is :D

Yup, our `04 has got it too.

We disabled the automatic feature (automatically retracts and raises when you take the key out of the ignition and lowers and extends when you put it in for easier egress/ingress). Didn't want to wear out the motor or gears for a fairly useless (for us) feature. But the telescoping itself is nice, since my wife and I have different length arms, legs, etc. Memory would have been nicer, but _that_ was reserved for the LX.
