I have a 2002 100 with the factory nav. I don't think it is working correctly. Its not a major concern whether the nav works or not, but i would like to find where the disc drive is to load the software, or see if the disc is actually in there. Does the nav software load in the dvd 6 disc changer located in the console?
I have read some threads that say the drive may be under a seat? The changer, and the head unit seem to be working fine (thank God), so I'm assuming the actual nav does not work, or it needs the software disc. Thanks in advance!

Under the passenger seat.

Slide the passenger seat all the way forward and you'll find a cover (under and behind the seat) with (2) plastic screws.

Take the screws out and you'll find the nav dvd player under the cover.

drive will eat the disc, but its as if the head unit does not recognize the disc is there. It reads "No disc found" or something similar. Should I locate an updated disc and see if that helps? I have a buddy that has a Lexus GS300 that has the same system and he bought an updated disc a couple years ago. I wonder if I could borrow his and see if it works? Any input would be nice!

If possible, I would for sure try another disk before I did anything else. It looks like the player is not reading the disk for some reason and you need to eliminate things one at a time. See if your buddy kept his old disk?
