Need to replace most of my instrument panel/control panel light bulbs.

1) Seat Heater Switches R&L
2) 2nd and PWR Selector Switches
3) Power Quarter window Switches R&L
4) Power Rear View Mirror Control

Im really glad I did this project because there was a lot of s#*@ stuck on the switches.

Ordered the bulbs from my local Toyota dealership and am now waiting...

Ill update the thread once I install light bulbs.

Sub'd, I need to do this to a few switches.

Literally took 30 minutes total including the time taken to order the lights ;)

Nice work!

How did you get the switches out?

Do you have pictures of replacing the bulbs?

Thabks @TLCJC

Center console trim around the PDRNL needs to be pried up, then right above the cup holder squuze a plastic trim mold removing tool and pop up.

Id rec using a glove to reach in a just pop the switches up from the bottom and they come right out.

I did not unplug any switches just cleaned with alcohol wipes and reinstalled the control panel while waiting for the bulbs. I let the switches just hang outside the housing.

The bulbs were a cinch, use a small flathead to twist and remove old bulbs and simply install new bulbs with a light 1/4 turn clockwise (does not lock so dont over crank it)

As for the power rear view and quarter mirror control panel, remove the large square piece with the same flathead and pop the switches out from behind.

Can you list a part number for us google challenged folks that want to buy online?

@CCuzj100

Is that the same bulb for all of the switches (1-4) in your original post? Also, how many bulbs did you need to buy for all the the switches in your original post?

Update...lights came in from toyota $4 each bulb and pic is attached.

Overall Im VERY HAPPY with this small and easy project.

OMG, THEY LIGHT UP?! I never knew that! hahaha. I wonder what other light is broken on my dash.

Do all of those swithes run the same bulb

FYI, The mirror adjust switch has a socket for a bulb but it is inoperative in LC`s so don't waste a bulb in there expecting it to light up, it won't. LX470's have similar switch parts but theirs actually do light up.

So is there a aftermarket cheap led option for the rear vent bulbs ?? And heated seats and per? Are they the same

I believe the vent and heater switches use the same bulb number. I have used the same bulb for both and can see no difference. Don't know about any aftermarket led options.

Hey Fellow OCD bulb folks. Anyone have an idea what a properly lit ahc console switch on an LX looks like at night? I appear to have one bulb working in the center of it, but I suspect there might be a few bulbs in that one. Thanks.

I just replaced my burned out rear window vent, AHC, and PWR/2nd switch bulbs. Quite easy. Turns out Dorman replacement bulbs 639-041 (Toyota) and 639-003 (Honda) work for those who don’t want to go LED. They were about 1/3 the price at Advanced Auto Parts compared to the Toyota bulbs listed above at the dealer.

LRScorned- What bulbs were used for your AHC? They look extra bright in the photos?

639-003 from Advanced Auto Parts. The dead bulbs o took out had the green cover but I didn’t put them on the new bulbs. It isn’t as bright as the photo seems to show but they a slightly brighter and whiter than the other switches.
