100 series build compared to other SUV's

Just wondering if anyone has info on how the LC compares - frame/axles/driveline/etc. to other SUV's - GM/Mercedes/Landrover/Ford/etc. I'm talkin - thickness of steel, weld quality, rust resistance, etc. ???

I know that my 100 series is the most robust built Toyota just wondering how it compares if anyone has any facts that we can share.

If anyone has back issues of the SAE magazine "Automotive Engineering", there was a technical article on the 100 series LC, published right before the 100 series was launched. (circa 1997-98)

That might also have comparisons, in addition to gobs of tech info.

I remember reading it and wanting a 100 series LC.

Thanks I looked them up on the internet and sent them an email requesting information on getting this back issue.
