Yeah I saw them on ebay. Thats too much. 300 is TOOO much as well. I appreciate the offer, I will find someone that has one for a little cheaper or pull mine and see if it can be fixed. These things break too easy to pay so much for them. I guy on here sold one for 75 a while back, thats a fair deal.I have one i'm going to pull some time this summer, I could test it (I've never actually used it :/ ) and pull it sooner. These are listed for $4-800 on ebay, which seems nuts. The cheapest sold price that I saw was $300, I'll ship it to you for that if it tests out ok.
I hear ya! I dont think anyone has one for sale at the moment. Had a guy reach out to me but his unit wasnt what I was looking for. Im gonna see how much is involved in pulling the one I have out of the console and seeing if I or my buddy can fix it. If you see one let me know, unless you snatch it before me. Gotta get my 90's cd's blasting this summerDo a search here on mud. I've bought two of these here in the last year. Believe both were $50 or less. Bought one of eBay a few years ago that was about $75. CD player was broken with a CD stuck in it. That one I sent back. Most I paid for a six CD changer head unit was $100 for my wife's 04 4runner which is a different unit. I run the LC/Tundra units in my FJ62 and 3rd generation 4Runner. I suggest doing what I did is when you find them cheap buy a spare or two.
Thanks!You should mention it's for a 2003.
Thanks!
FOR A 2003 !!!!!!!!
This is what im after. The cartridge in mine wont come out, it sounds like it wants to but it wont. I dont know if that means its toast or not, i dont know very much about electronics. If you know any tricks I will try them.Does your cruiser have navigation? You looking for a remote CD changer? Prior to 2003 a non navigation standard double DIN 6 CD head unit was used in a number of different Toyotas. Pretty easy to find. My 04 4Runner the face only fits 4Runner for a few years.

I enjoy cd's and will get this resolved as soon as I figure out if mine is trash or not. I still would like a spare as you suggest, dont know how long I will keep the 100, it has been pretty solid so far, I enjoy fixing and making stuff right on it.Only 100 series I've owned was a 2000 with a head unit that included a six CD changer. Did your in dash navigation included at least a single CD player? I know I would miss not having a working CD player in my vehicles. Which is why I want spares around. Since navigation was almost standard in the 100 series by 2003 and many other Toyota models also had navigation might search wrecking yards for one. @cruiserdan might know off the top of head if any other model's remote CD changer were the same as the one used in the 100 series. If you plan hanging on to your 03 and seem to be hooked on CDs as much as I am I would try to find a second one as a spare. Haven't looked at new vehicles in a while but heard some of the new models no longer have a CD just like the cassettes. Another thing I still use but not as much as CDs.
