I just bought a 09 tacoma double cab. I have been researching lifts but cant decide. I expedition wheel and will eventually have winch & bumper, rear bumper, and truck top. What lift should I go with. I want a lift that holds up, rides good, and wont kill my cv's. Any suggestions?

Im not a newb, but I do have a newb question. Sorry:)

Coming from the land of the tacoma and seeing at least a few a day at my work I would have to say for the application that your going to use it for I would go with the ome lift w/ the springs in the rear. The 09 are cool because they have the vsc (i think thats what its called) on and off switch. I know before that you couldn't put the bigger lifts on tacos equipped with it. Throw some 285's and the truck would look cherry.

My 06 has basically all the stuff you want, and I'm running full OME + an Alcan AAL in the rear springs. For price, performance and customer support, OME is hard to beat. Lots of folks are keen on the racing coilovers (Icon, Camburg, SAW, etc.), which are definitely great products, but for an overlanding application I can't justify the cost and the increased maintenance requirements. Just bolt on the OME and hit the road.
