I donno if its just me, but it seems that my 06 taco has a "stink bug" effect to it where the front end is lower than the rear....
Has anyone noticed this, and done a front end lift?
Again its an 06 SR5, 4wd sport package, NOT TRD.
Its me DD, so Im not all THAT concerned about it, but it does bug me a bit. It seems that you could just put a 2 in spacer in the front coils...
Anyone know if this will void the factory warrenty?

Thanks,

Chicago

That's a Taco thing....lol They are all lower in the front than in the rear. If all you're concerned about is leveling it, then several companies make rubber or aluminum leveling spacers. Daystar, Downey are examples. They are relatively inexpensive. Some of these are top loading (they go on top of the coil over) and some you have to take the coil over apart and install them between the coil and the top plate.

AAAAAH...cool, so it is as simple as adding a spacer / lift block somewhere in the coils.
Like I said...not really a BIG deal, but...yeah, it kinda bugs me a bit.
I wanna lift this BEOTCH SOOOO FRICKIN BAD, but I just have to keep telling myself that its my DD, and I got it for better mileage.
However, I may look into this.

Thanks for the ref.

Yeah, the stance bugged me too. I got Daystar 1.5" leveling spacers. Then I realized that with 3.5" backspaced rims and minor trimming of the pinch weld, I could fit 32x11.5x15 BFG ATs. Then it was all over...LOL No looking back to a stock truck. The lift won't affect you're gas milage......but the bigger tires will :D

Lift

I have an 03, I know, different body style but what I did was, I threw on some sway-a-way coil overs that I just cranked, I got three and a half inches out of it with room to go up more, and it took me like 2 hours in my garage. I put a throttle body spacer I got from Airraid on it and my gas millage is even better than before. Now I can fit 285's! It's legit, look into it.

Ah...cool!
So the throttle body spacer works as well hu? I had wondered about that.
Not REALLY looking to go bigger on the meats as I dont wanna kill the mileage. Ive got my FJ62 for gluttonous gas guzzling. However, it is rather emberassing when I hit the skid going over a speed bump in my taco!

Thanks

I have some 2 inch spacers I'm taking off mine, installing new c/o's pm me if you want to buy my old ones asking $50

TOY-tec lifts has an OME Spring replacement/spacer kit for the front, and an Add a leaf for the back that gives the 05+ tacomas about 2" of lift. and the kit is only about $300.00

Here's mine with the kit on.
