Ford '06 Powerstroke Block Heater (1 Viewer)

I am looking for help to know how to test to see if my block heater is working. I just installed the cord but not convinced the heater is working. Thanks

Hey I answered my own question. Some low tech troubleshooting goes a long way. I left it plugged in overnight and guess what. The block and radiator were hot to the touch this morning

Or, you could check the temp guage

Or you could just listen to it when its plugged in, it sounds like boiling water down by the passenger side front fender/wheel area. Thats how I knew mine was working

I have mine hooked up to a timer that runs for 2.5 hours and that has it plenty warm. Those things are 1000W so no point in having it run all night.
