I am looking for help to know how to test to see if my block heater is working. I just installed the cord but not convinced the heater is working. Thanks

Hey I answered my own question. Some low tech troubleshooting goes a long way. I left it plugged in overnight and guess what. The block and radiator were hot to the touch this morning:doh:

Or, you could check the temp guage :)

Or you could just listen to it when its plugged in, it sounds like boiling water down by the passenger side front fender/wheel area. Thats how I knew mine was working

I have mine hooked up to a timer that runs for 2.5 hours and that has it plenty warm. Those things are 1000W so no point in having it run all night.
