I am looking at an 06 LX. Dealer service notes have the following

"LIGHT LINE REPAIR CUST STATES ABS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND BRAKES WILL NOT STOP VEHICLE. CHECK AND ADVISE - HAS CODE FOR POWER BRAKE SYSTEM.C2156,C2151,ABS MALFUNCTION - REPLACED BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY COMPLETE ANS GASKET TO FIRE WALL. BLEAD SYSTEM OF AIR TEST DROVE."

It's had a fair number of CEL's for misc reasons that have been resolved. I am waffling heavy on replacing my 80 with a 100 or newer Sequioa (08+) or maybe a 200. I want a bigger boat and even though it will be moored 95% of the time I still need to be able to pull it for winters. My issue with spending $$$ for the newer stuff is I used my rigs for hunting and fishing. They are clean and undamaged (read not wheeled hard) but I can throw a deer or elk in the back and not loose my mind over smell or stains if my trap misses a spot.

The brake failure on the 100 series has been a problem discussed lately. Had a survey up recently to gauge the number of total failures here on the forum.
Interesting that a 2006 would have had it too. What was the mileage when the brakes failed and how long ago? Should be good to go after the fix.

I was reading about the failures and thought it was isolated to earlier models. Anyway, it was about 16 months and 30K miles ago.

Lmao so if the 06 has 300k miles the failure happened at 270k miles ;) and since the records show the brakes were never serviced, it would sound like a failure to service them might of caused the problem. I think what we have here is a failure to communicate. My wife does this all the time I will ask a specific question and her answer will be based on a question never asked.

wait how do you know it has 300K miles? that seems a lot of miles in the short time span. yes some of us drive a lot but 300K is a lot

Lol ok. I know we are not full scientific on our pool here; but do feel it's limited. Does not make it any less scary.

Smart Ass Jack Ass about the same, the rig has about 130K total. I guess I should read your responce as your wives answer the same way? :)

No Prob I do the same sometimes. I am looking to see what their bottom line is now. I am really having a problem to I want a 100, 200 or 08 Sequoia. Leaning toward the 100,
