Baseline it and get tires. Drive as-is for a while and its limitations will present themelves. Once they do, you'll know which mods to do first.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say first mod should be a Fridge. Way more usage for your $$ than other mods. Can't go wrong with a proper set of AT tires though, especially if you plan to take it on anything beyond fire roads. Once you start wheeling, you'll figure out what else you need.

I have Cooper ATP 275/70 18s and the spare "barely" fits in the stock location. I have the integrated hitch in the bumper and I cannot get the ball in with the spare stowed under the Cruiser. Other than that small inconvenience I love them.

I have the Slee Stepsliders and they were definitely a worthwhile in investment both for the family and protecting the Cruiser.

With AHC and 33" tires and sliders I recommend what others have said and just go drive it. I would think you'll be good for a while. But, hey if you can afford it, knock yourself out! Kurt at @cruiseroutfit will definitely take care of you.
