05 LX reverse lights - can they be moved to body lenses?

Hey folks.
I searched but could not find a conclusive answer.
On a 2005 LX470, where the reverse lights are exclusively in the tailgate, is there a way to move them back out to the body mounted lenses? Is there still wiring out there to support the reverse lights?
I'm anticipating a rear tire carrier that will partially block my tailgate lights.

I looked recently at my '04 and I didn't see any wiring for bulbs on the outboard spots. If you find otherwise, I'd like to add two more bulbs.
