04 LX470 Shattered Tail Light: What are my Options?

Hi all,

I shall post a picture tomorrow morning as it is late right now. Somebody rear ended into my drivers side external tail light and shattered it. Quick search online delivers only later years part. Does it fit without a mod? No significant damage to get insurance involved IMO. Correct me if I am wrong.

That sucks. I guess your only option is to lift it, put on big tires and front and rear bumpers.

2004, in the title. External, or outer assembly, the one on the body, as opposed to the tailgate..

You have the later style lights. Hardly any trucks being parted of that year. I have the older style in stock. Best bet is to order new . i think the lx lights ar the same as a lc, if so you can get them from @beno or @cruiserdan if they are not the same Lexus of South Atlanta - Union City & Newnan GA - New & Used Car Dealer seems to have the best lexus prices

I have read that the tailgates for LX and LC are different, specifically how the tail lights are shaped. IF they are the same, you can go with an aftermarket set from Spyder.

They claim to fir 03-07 years. Is it worth the upgrade functionally? I don't care about aesthetics and I am more of a stock person.
