03 vs 06 legroom

I swear my 03 has more legroom. The 06 is borderline uncomfortable to drive. I'm going to measure them both but does anyone know if they are different? It wouldn't make sense that they would be different.

Is there a modification that may have been done on the '03 to allow more leg room? The up/down functionality of the seat is non-existant. Something was removed by previous owner. I can raise the seat by hand by simply lifting it. It doesn't stay up.

I spot checked this at the front of the seat and there doesn't seem to be any more fore/aft legroom in the 03 vs 06. Pedals may be further up in the 06, or the seats are just way more worn out in the 03 (entirely possible, but not noticeable).

My other guess is that with the lack of up/down adjustment mechanism, the seat actually sits a lot lower in the 03 which makes it feel roomier. Either way I prefer to drive the 03.
