I’ve had my LX for about two weeks now... I noticed a “jingling” noise coming from my drivers side rear when I hit a bump. Has anyone had this issue? I read something about parking brake but I wanted to put it out there to the experts!!

Check sway bar links for missing bushing

Or shock washers and shock bushings if applicable to your lx if not the emergency brake

Loose spare tire if its mounted under rear, loose mount hardware if spare is not there.

@JDWCruiserMS

Ever get this figured out? Mine is having the same issue. Not something obvious listed above and extremely hard to duplicate while not driving.

Sadly no... still there... I haven’t dug in in the past few weeks... I did take to my mechanic and he said he couldn’t hear it and that everything was tight underneath... he obviously wasn’t driving with the window down (can’t hear it with the windows up unless radio is off) because it’s rattling/jingling it’s butt off when you hit a bump... here is what I’ve deduced... not a shock as it doesn’t do it hitting a speed bump... not brake pads as it does it mostly while either acceleration or braking... my guess is parking brake but I haven’t dug in or taken it back to the mechanic

May investigate today :)

I've had good success using a rubber mallet to find loose stuff. Start hitting around under there until something rattles. Be sure to wear eye protection though as you'll be loosening up lots of dust and dirt.

I can recreate it with a 5lb sledge hitting the DS front tire. But I have to hit it so hard that I can’t devote any other resources to locating the sound. Mine literally sounds like a coin purse jingling in a pocket. Only happens on sharp, abrupt, bumps. Nothing over slow speed bumps.

Can you devote a $5 bill to a neighbor kid to whack the tire while you look underneath?

Same sound. Mines in the rear.

Do you have a GoPro? Mount it to the truck. Drive.

I’m going to replace swaybar endlinks and bushings because they need it one way or another and hope that’s my issue. Everything’s under there is tight though. And nothing in the front end seems like it would make a noise this “light”....

I have the exact noise your describing. Just like coins jangling from front. I have removed the entire front anti roll bar so its not that. I also have new shocks so its not that either. Dam noise is driving me crazy

Anything loose around the brakes? I've heard it could be parking brake but there isn't any of that going on in the front in to my knowledge. Mine is coming from drivers rear.

Have you checked to make sure the "W" spring clips on the calipers are installed? If they are missing, you'll get a rattling/jingling sound in the front.
