$12K to MUD member. Listed locally for 16k, but would like a fellow Mudder to purchase and finish the build. Firm bc of all the work just performed and listed below

Not the original owner, originally a California truck, No Rust. Vehicle was my daily driver for the last 6 years and kept in the garage until I purchased a 2014 LC. Paint shines, no dents, no accidents.

LX is mechanically excellent. Services performed at 175k(in the last 6 months); Timing belt, water pump, fuel pump, plugs, brake pads, hoses, battery, all filters including interior cabin filters. All parts Toyota except battery and purchased from Beno. Truck was basically baselined. Brand new (including spare) BFG all ter/275-85-16 less than 5k miles on them.

Services performed by ACC within the last year; Decided to build the vehicle from a DD. Replaced AHC with a 2" lift, iron man foam cell shocks, diff drop, UCA's, sliders. ACC also replaced CV joints.

New Kenwood system, but needs amp/booster for increased sound.

WeatherTech mats

Shortcomings;
No navigation
The interior is in good condition with only a small tear starting on the drivers seat leather.
Factory jack and tire iron missing.
Small pin holes in dash, see picture.

Thanks Beno, I appreciate the shout out.

Nice FJ. Boy you know how to tug on some heart strings. Sold my 84 FJ40 years ago with much regret. I'll ask, but I don't expect the wife's approval. Maybe I should just ask for forgiveness, lol. I'll let you know.
Buy your wife the FL property, and then you can get the FJ40;)

This is a nice truck. Tony does things correctly and has always used OEM parts for the work.

Buy with confidence.
Thanks Onur. I appreciate the shout out.
Did you get my email about parts for Tundra tune up and LX in Hawaii? Thanks, Tony

Nice strategy Ryan, but she's the smart one in the family and would see right through it, lol.
Or you can do my strategy, which I will apply to your LX if I can buy it next week when I am there.

I buy a car, park it away from house for 3-4 months. Then I start talking about the car, and she gets tired of it and says just buy it. Then I tell her I spent 40% of what I actually paid. She doesn't respond. Then when I sell it a year or two later, at a "profit" she is happy and keeps encouraging me to buy cars.

43 cars and 17 bikes later, my strategy is working (for me) :p

No problem. I posted without asking my wife...who is more likely than I to kill any deal on my end. I'm interested if you are!

I love it! Hahaha.. I should have applied that strategy years ago. Maybe its not too late.

Lol, well I tried my best, but I couldn't convince the boss(wifey). Too many vehicles and a constant scramble of moving trucks around so she can back out of the garage killed the interest in my end.
Best, Tony

Congrats on the 2014 LC and congrats to the Mudder that picked this up. I bought mine the day this was posted. Ohhh, this would have been worth a road trip.
