00 lx470 with newer steering wheel with buttons

I dont see any write ups on this. I imagine the wheels are interchangeable has anyone tried doing this swap to have steering wheel buttons?
I imagine you would need the hub adapter from an later year and the steering wheel to complete it.

Hey mate, I'm currently installing this 300 series style steering wheel into my 2003 and 100 series land cruiser. Currently has no steering wheel buttons and I'm in the trying to get them all working from the new wheel to my aftermarket Kenwood head unit including my cruise control. Will let you know how I go. I've already upgraded the clock spring
