Just purchased a 00 LC for the wife. 121k miles, excellent condition. Very solid to the point it seems that Toyota added more sound deadening to the 00 versus my 99. It has the nice cup holder butterfly. Champagne in color with fender flares, roof rack, color coded running boards.

If you don't mind me asking.. how much did you get it for. I am in the market for the same year... LC
Thanks

18400 from a dealer with new michelins and all vin numbers on every body panel and the timing belt changed. It also has the tow package.

I have owned 3 99s and this 00. This one is by far the quietest and tightest of them all. The brakes are incredible. My wife says the 285 STTs MTs are causing all the issues but I don remember a 99 being this quiet.

The 99 LC needs a front arb locker and sliders.

I still like the 99 with the bigger MT tires.

Yeah, but did you get a sunroof this time?!?! :flipoff2:

Yes. Supposedly, sunroofs are standard equipment from 00 forward. The 00 will get more family use, back and forth to the pool, school and grand parents. The 99 will sit most weekends on the sidelines.

Have the exhaust manifolds and starter contacts been replaced yet?;)

great question. I will run a vin check with the local dealership where it was maintained.

dont replace the manifolds till we get those gibsons fabbed up!

You should road trip out there in the LX and get 'er done already! :flipoff2:

Congrats on the '00! Perhaps you could bring it down to an Upstate Cruisers event so I can steal that butterfly cupholder attachment while no one's lookin' (did I say that out loud?) :D

sidenote: I answered your gub ? in chit-chat.

There is a big difference between my 98 and 00 as well. The 00 seems much quieter and tighter like you say.

Great looking ride. Congrats on adding another 100 to the stable!!

Like Andy, I too have the 98 and 00 LCs. (Andy owns my 97!) I had to replace both exhaust manifolds on the 00 (at 70k miles), but it drives great too, much quieter and the steering is "tighter."

The 99 sat all weekend. The 00 got all the family use this weekend. I still like my 99 with MTs. It is great to have 2 now. First free mod to the 99 will hopefully remove the running boards.
