speedometer wires

Pretty sure someone here will have the answer I am looking for. I have a 73 FJ40, that I am rewiring and I am working on the gauges. I know what all but two wires are for and they go to the back of the speedometer at the top, one black, the other white.For the life of me I have not been able...
