ignition coil assembly

Has anyone ever installed this style of ignition coil assembly for an FJ60?

Can anyone identify the wire in the pics? It is not the ignition coil connector. The pictured wire smoked when trying to jump start the truck; the black sheathing was stripped in order to determine if the wire was damaged and if it needed replacing. The wire runs from the assembly to a body...
