I have a 1977 Fj40 and i am having a small problem at idle.What carb is this? I took the carb off to try and clean it. Any tips on what to take apart and what to clean ect.....

Does anyone know what aftermarket carb hats fit a stock 2F carb?

What have you used to seal the carb stud threads in a 2F manifold? My plan was red Loctite but thought something softer may be better? This is the last time I want to mess with this setup until the upgrade to 3fe head a couple years from now.

I am looking for an OEM Aisan carb for a 1968 FJ40 with an F135 engine. It is currently running with a Carter carb that needs to be rebuilt. If I'm going to rebuild a carb it should be an original one.

This was on a 1979 FJ40 without smog. Bought new from Trollhole's cruisers, used for a few weeks then owner of 79 switched to a Webber carb. $200 plus shipping
