For Sale FJ40 rear brake drums part #43501-60010

Got these with a parts lot: they are 555 brand. Part number is stamped on the drum. I couldn’t use them for my project, because the studs were too short for the extra thick mounting face on these. They are extremely heavy duty…. And will be heavy to ship…. 100$ plus shipping

    Brake pedal to the floor!

Anyone seen this? I've bled the brakes several times now and it works great. I can lock the 35s up with (some) effort.... but a weird thing started happening. If I depress the pedal, it will engage about 25% down, then if I lift up the pedal just enough to release pressure, then press it again...

    Hard brake lines

Been spending a lot of time under my 67 FJ40 doing suspension work and was wondering about how one tells if the steel brake lines need replacement. I have converted the truck to 4 wheel discs a while back and the rubber lines are all good, but the steel — just a visual inspection?

    Front brake lines vs rear.

As im running brake lines, im thinking about something. 1st off - no abs. So the line feeding the rear drops to the diff where it hits a tee that goes to each wheel. Simple and straightforward. Now on the front, each wheel brake is fed by a separate flex. I'm assuming that is because of the...
