Can anyone tell me the total weight on a 1FZ-FE w/ gear box & tranny.

the block alone weighs a friggin ton.
I have one with a cracked cylinder wall at the shop, and it would break any scale I could find.

anyone want it?

I've heard the 4.5 straight six weighs considerably more than a domestic big block V8.

Here's a very accurate way to get the weight. Weigh your truck at an accurate scale and write it down. Then remove the engine and tranny and weigh it again. Subtract the second weight from the first and it should be accurate within a few pounds.

The conveyer would add weight equal to Junk's mother for each multiple of the speed of sound it is travelling.

Try a PM to Robbie here on the forum. Username is PowderPig. Haven't seen him lately and I'm sure its related to the massive snow dumps most of us are experiencing at the moment out West.......

Anyhow, he's got at least one engine out of an FZJ.

Total was about 1400 lbs.

Engine is a little over 700lbs. As for the tranny and t-case I do not know. But would guess close to 500lbs. So a good guess is close to 1200 lbs. lost of metal weighs alot. later robbie
