This is one of my other really cool finds
I've owned it for maybe 3 yrs now but I still stand and look at it every chance I get
This FJ45 was stashed in a spider infested garage for about 10 yrs.

I've sinced put on new Toyota front fenders, disk brake front diff with factory LSD fine spline front locker, had an aluminum reproduction SWB box built for it, overhauled or replaced the brakes and clutch hydraulics, sand blasted the rear roof panel and had it primered, sand blasted and painted a set of disk brake rims, got some radial MT tires that were close to stock size, bought all sorts of new weather stripping, bumper, filters, and found replacement parts for things that were missing or broken. I'm pretty sure I have everything now except for the factory spare tire holder.

I got the FJ45 from the son of the first owner. The first owner has sent me pics and has been looking for more pics and paperwork for it from when he bought it.

The FJ45 has 76,300ish miles on it and the original motor has great compression but does need the carb primary bushings redone.

Bad part is I'm putting it up for sale shortly in order to build my extra cab LWB FJ45. My Extra cab should be pretty cool. I have most of the parts already stashed away to build it!

How much are you asking, I would be interested in it.

Tony

More pics, man!

here's a pic of the new box on it
this box is #001, we used my old box for the pattern. There was a demand for the reproduction box to be made and I had one that was rusty so I got one for myself as well. It sure beat doing sheet metal work. I intended on doing an aluminum cab as well but I recently got a front section of a FJ40 that was nearly perfect. If I keep this FJ45 I'll probably just cut the back cab off of it and splice it onto the FJ40 section. We'll see, I'm getting more and more interested in building myself an extra cab LWB.
The hub caps are the wrong era but I don't care, I'm running disk brake rims and radials anyways
As soon as it stops raining I'll get better pics. Most of my pics are detail shots so they don't really show the whole FJ45.
Price is undecided, I'm still adding everything up.

Ditto on what chef said! Is that like an aqualu bed thing?
I"m guessing?

PN 4501?
Is the removable top and fixed top swb bed the same? I didn't take measurements at the 45 run and no-one in our neck of the woods has a swb anywhere..
Also can you give some more shots of the rear tub? Is it drilled for the taillights? Ready for the stock tailgate? Please and thank you..

the box is made by Aqualu
I'm a reseller for them and I had a few inquiries from the US for the SWB boxes so it made sense to work with them on getting a design figured out. I do not know for certain if the non removeable hardtop boxes are the same as the removeable hardtop boxes.
I asked a few people but never found anyone with good box.
The box is $1787 CDN which is approx $1500 USD
I believe there is one in stock thats not spoken for right now
the tailgate is not included but you can use the drop tailgate with storage that's $495 CDN
I'm going to use the factory drop tailgate from my FJ40 because it's flawless. I put an aluminum gate on my FJ40 for storage of oils and some tools.
I'll get some better box pics for you later today, It's sunny out finally.

iF i Got you a measurement from a good SWB Fixed top box would that help? Glad to see they're available!
I just am curious if the front lip to rear lip are the same or not.. Would also help you answer questions. I recall parts of a conversation I had with John Pardi last year and him stating they were possibly different. I dunno but can digout a tapemesure fe ya !

my gut feeling is both the short box 45's beds are the same or close enough, yeah prolly some minor difference but I bet not that make any real difference.

I do kinda recall the mounts for the bed(and cab) changed in 64(intro of the 45LPB) and I think carried over to the short bed.

well I did something I knew I shouldn't do,
I drove it, crap! now I'm feeling even worse about selling it.

but here are some pics I said I would take

45 Bed
can you tell me how I can get more informatiom about getting one of these beds shippin cost etc. I have an non removable top and need a bed right a way.
Thank you

I measured them years ago and if I recall correctly, the non-removable top is ~6 inches longer, in the area between the wheelwells and the front. I no longer have access to the non-RT truck, but I could measure my removable top bed tonight to compare to someone elses.
