where did you get those seat covers ?

I got them from an outfit in Hawaii http://www.wetokole.com/ They have the specs for the 60 series on file. They custom cut each order, you can also choose color styling piping etc. I understand that the neoprene they use is fire rated etc... well worth a look for some of these trucks, I "THINK" it cost me ~$600 for the front and back... But they DO do good work...

Where did you get your Exhaust done ... I have an 82 BJ60 as well
and have been looking to upgrade my exhaust system
I live in Victoria as well

hola, Ya I had it done a shop called "I think" Island brake and muffler.... its just off Burnside road and the trans Canada, across the street from the pantry or whatever that place on the corner is. Big shop, cant miss it! I was reasonably happy with their work. Cant remember what it came to but $1,200 comes to mind for some reason... I may be out to lunch on that however. It would be worth while going for the bigger pipes in case you ever want to turbo it :)

PS: someone was asking about the alternator mod, here is a link to it:

PS lots of life left in the tires, ~50% ish

What sort of mpg does this get; city/hwy? How fast (slow) is it?

g

well I was previously getting ~10Km/l so thats what.... 23.5mpg? Thats with a pretty even split of 50/50 city highway...
comfortable cruising speed 80-100km/hr so 50-60mph it will top out at around 120kmh on level ground ~75mph it is quick off the line nice torquey little bugger, however it will take a while to get it up to cruise and gearing down on steep hills is the name of the game with the 3B

how about parting with just the seat covers ?

i have an unmolested stock bumper that might help with the resale value of your rig !

Age....

Hmmm - just wondering:

Does 2008 - 1983 = 25 mean that as of 1 January, your BJ60 legally can be imported into the US???? Or will it not be for one more year after that?

You might have a larger potential pool to sell to.....

Hola!
Haha, well Toynut, that may not be such a bad idea, but to be honest I’m hoping to just find someone who wants the whole kit and kaboodle as is. Took it for a quick spin today, runs like a top!
(Although the EDIC Relay is doing something funky so iv got to pull it and get the guys at work to clear things up)
But the bats are strong, (they were fine but I just reconditioned them) vacuumed out, warmed up, new oil etc...

And yes because it is a Canadian spec cruiser it CAN be imported into the great U S of A, so if anyone down south is interested feel free to give me a shout!

Open to offers…
