Wow... I wish thoes would be delivered to the dealerships instead of the other fj cruiser.
Looks sweet . Maybe from them one people who build them with the 350 chevys and ask 90K+ for the short bed version

Its a troopy...LC troop carrier...lots of them in AU. 7 passenger...has a diesel option...but I think this is an old one. They still sell them new in the rest of the world. It's porn to me...I think i am getting a semi. I'd like to have a better look.
Does this experience make up for the "bad day" Cody?

Man...what a sweet rig....I have always wished for one of those!!!

you sure they still sell those in the rest of the world brittian?? i think the last year for that style troopie was late '80's. and the gasser was the option engine not the diesel:flipoff2:
south american banderantie makes their version of all 40 series rigs and a few guys out there import those bodies to put on our chassis.
of similar interest, i spied a 45 pickup with some kind of neat-o bed on it. it was like a trayback, but roof high sides and a canvas top. looked as good condition as this one. maybe the same owner??

He's talking about the one in the link, not the one in the original post. The linked one is a 7x.

That's what I was talkin about. And yes a 40 series in the 1st post. C'mon Johnny, gimme a little credit.

Hate to tell you this, after reading post #7, I think this is the wrong porn for you

I never said the new rigs were 40"s! I said they still make the Troopy...:flipoff2:

LOL brittan !!! your right about the troopie still being done, but its not the 40 series the pic refers to, so, your wrong and i'm right:flipoff2: :D
there is also a 70 series based japan only troopie that i would love to get my hands on, ticker is that its not a troopie, its a four door version of the troopie, or more accurately a modern 55,,, maybe thats why i like it so much, mmmm a modern piggie;)

Wow...I guess I have to get technical with this group...what a bunch of LC snobs...:D
I know the LC in the pic is an old 40 series. I also know the LC I provided a link to is a NEW 70 series. I didn't know there is a 4 door version sold in Japan, but now that I do I want one.
I have a subscription to Australian 4WD Monthly and see the new 70 series troopy's and trucks all the time.
Next time I will do a technical write up with a drawing in Crayola so you guys know what I am talking about...;p
