A while back when replacing my starter, I tore a coolant hose that runs to the throttle body. I replaced it with some generic hose, but would like to get the real deal. Any help would be great. TIA!

Can't help you with a part number but I did notice the throttle body on my 2001 is slightly different where the coolant pipe goes compared to a throttle body someone gave me from a 98 so it's possible there are some variations in the pipe. Could be same pipe and only the TB is different, I wasn't thinking about coolant pipes at the time I noticed that.

There was a change in design from model yeaer 2000 to model year 2001:
"The thermostat on the throttle body has been changed from the previous coolant-temperature sensing type to a wall-temperature sensing type. The former directly senses the temperature of the coolant as the coolant passes through the thermostat, and the latter senses the temperature of the throttle body housing."

As far as the part number, I think you need 16295-50060 "HOSE, WATER BY-PASS, NO.7". In the parts diagram the shorthand part number code is 16295B.
Confirm in the parts diagram before ordering. I like the Lexuspartsnow.com navigation so here's the link to their parts diagram:
Part Detail
And for toyotapartszone it's here:
Part Detail

If those links don't work, whether you use toyotpartszone or lexuspartsnow, just choose your model/year, then go to Section "Tool/Engine/Fuel", navigate to #27 "Fuel Injection System". Lexuspartsnow automatically displays the parts diagram, whereas with toyotapartszone you need to click in a few times to get to the illustrations (less intuitive).

Hope that helps.

you da man! now I know where to go for parts diagrams :)

is there a right or wrong way to remove the coolant line and then replace the coolant?

I'd suggest taking a look at the FSM.
I've only drained the coolant while doing my TB job. There is a draincock at the bottom of the radiator from which you can drain your coolant. I imagine in theory you don't need to drain all your coolant - just enough that there isn't any in the hose you're pulling off. I imagine either the FSM provides that detail or someone else here can chime in. Also in general, there are pick tools that can help remove the hoses, and some use dielectric grease to get the hoses back on if they're difficult.

Since yours has been off/on recently it may be real easy for you.

is there anything wrong with just taking the hose off and draining it into a bucket, putting the new hose on and filling the reservoir?

i guess as long as you can fit a bucket/container under the hose as you take i off so you dont get coolant all over the place.

Can anyone tell me what the part number is for this hose on my 2001 100series?

water by pass hose.webp

Thanks, I noticed it was leaking while I was driving across Nevada last week. I assume the clamps are reusable?

Dan didn't stock the part so its on order. Can I replace this hose without draining the coolant. When does the bypass hose have fluid flowing through it?
