Please feel free to steal the idea...I'm flattered! I too, am curious as to how the tent will be raised. Honestly, the tent which should arrive in November and it will weigh 130 lbs. Theoretically, it will be a 2 man job. Once attached on the crossbars, I should be able to get under it using...
No the bracket is from a Fire extinguisher which I fabbed up. Both ends of the bracket have a valve protector...the other end is simply hidden under the rubber mat.
Well I plan to lock up the cases...they are very hard to get into once locked up. I'll probably just throw in camping crap..i.e. utensils and a stove and lamp....they should fit in the pelicans nicely.

That's basically it...This shows the THULE rack raised up for tent set up at a campsite....the whole build was about $3,000...All I am waiting for is the Mombasa family size tent. Thanks for looking.

I used LED lights and they are absolutely awesome. Very bright and really updates the 50 year old trailer. Again, I utilized the waterproof capability of the pelican case....and of course I had to match my wheels ;-))
I intend to have 2 propane burners....both near the tail gate...to use for cooking on the stove sits on the tail gate...This provides quick and easy access to fuel. Instead of Rhino lining the bed...for $500.00..I chose to get a 1/4" rubber bedliner. This was $44.00 bucks. Thanks to Jacque of...
Well, here it is ...6 months later! The before and after pics. Final color is a putty color or "Adobe" as the powder coater calles it. Ironically, it matches my 40th anniversary leather interior perfectly...it's the funniest thing how that worked out.. This was totally unintended..but what...
Christo, I have your FIRST GEN. bumper..so I need to take off the bumper. And, yes, I could drill it out...I'm just lazy. I'm sure the three bolts will hold fine. I'm really not concerned.
Steve
Yes the pintle hook is very difficult to put on a Slee bumper. You have to remove the entire bumper to get the bottom 2 bolts in. I managed to get one in..but it was a pain. I blew off the 4th bolt. I'm sure 3 bolts will hold it enough.

Well, I COPIED the tailgate design from someone on the forum...I can't remember his name but he needs the credit for the design...so let me say that it was not my design... The trailer was blasted today..tomorrow it goes to the powdercoater.

Here's a closer look of the "risers". This is my term...they are actually THULE bike racks. This model is for a Ford Ranger called the "Xsporter" They retail for freakin $450.00...ridiculous. I bought this for $250.00 on EBAY. I was very lucky to find it. This will of course...
