I'd love to find a good clean unmolested 80.. Probably my favorite Land Cruiser..To each his own I suppose.. This is a Toy forum so I guess I'd say go with the Cruiser.
As a current owner of an FJ62, UZJ100 and a 1991 RRC (67,000 miles) I have to say this---- They are ALL awesome rigs. The thing that stands out to me is how much more "personality" the 62 and RRC have compared to the 100. I have had waaaaaay more repair issues with my 62 and 100 compared to the...
Hard to believe S:censor:ts hasn't poked his pompous ass in here yet !!
80 vs 100 ??
Get both !! That's the best route to take !! Best of both worlds.
Well, at this point of the game I tend to be leaning towards getting the 80 and selling the FJ62. Why the 62 and not the RR you ask? Here is the honest unbiased (since I do own both LR and Toy's) fact..The RR is a superior vehicle to the FJ62 in these areas:
1) The V8 is worlds superior to...
100 or 80 ?? Can't decide...
OK, I'm in a bit of a quandry here. And yes, I realize this is the 80 forum , I might post this same thread in the 100 as well. I have found a really super clean, lowish mile 91K 1997 LX450. here is what is going through my head..I have always liked the 80 looks...
I have located another 1997 LX. This one is also green but with a more realistic 91,000 miles versus the very uncommon 51K the last one had. I did a CARFAX check on it and it has spent all of its life in TX with the exception of the past 18 months in Utah, where it currently is. The only thing...
Right you are.. Unfortunately for me it was in Dallas and I'm not..I don't know when it came on their lot. I just saw it late on Sat. nite. I check pretty often online..Guess it wasn't meant to be :crybaby::crybaby:.
Fxxx !! Looks like someone beat me to the punch...Already sold. They said it was in fabulous condition !! :crybaby::censor::mad::ban::crybaby::crybaby:
I know about the apprehension of something that sounds too good! It's almost like you need to go into the thing looking to be disappointed and if you aren't then you're a happy camper..When I bought the 1991 RR at LR Frisco in 2003 it only had 45,000 miles and only one owner. So it's rare, but...
Don't know if itz locked or not. That's pretty much irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Of course if it is that will be great..Mileage and condition are much more important to me. I'm getting in touch with the people who have it (dealership) first thing Monday morning (9/10) ! I lucked into a...
This is surely covered somewhere but I am lazy and want a quick, uncomplicated answer...I am looking at a mint 1997 LX450 with 51,500 miles and I need to know if the factory runningboards are as easily removed as on my 100 series. Any trim pieces, or anything I will need to order?
