No fuel from the return line off the fuel regulator
Did not hear fuel pump running when power applied to Terminal #3 of fuel pump relay plug. All fuses are good.
To get to the fuel pump, the scond row seats how to come out, then the carpet to gain access to a hatch that acesses the hatch...
IIRC, there is some sort of hack or fix involving bicycle inner tubes that might help. Try searching with those terms and sunroof to see if something pops up.
I put the LX 450 to work with the trailer this weekend while enjoying some serious model railroading.
I transported 5 Freemo modules over to Cornfield 10 in McLean, IL while assisting my friends of the Illini Railroad Club. The IRC is the oldest RR club on campus across the country, perhaps the...
No need to pull the dash. You pull the glove box and can feel where the holes are. It can be intimidating to punch the holes in the dash but with a little care it's doabl. I used the sawzall in salvaging mine because stuff was jammed up enough I couldn't pull the glove box to get to the nuts.
mot got me mine back around 2010, said they were about gone then. I used the Sawzall to cut it out of the dash of my old green 80 I totaled last fall so I had one to install in the LX 450 that replaced the 80 because I knew they were unobtanium. Your best bet would be to check salvage outfits in...
I'd be very leery of putting tires on wheels known to be leakers. I've been through that with OEM steelies and it's a big PITA. The only (partial) soliuton I found was to apply Loctite 290 to the trouble areas inside the rim, then baking the wheel in an oven. More info here and in earlier posts...
The later alloy wheels used the washer style nuts. IIRC, the earlier ones did use cone style, but not sure what year that changed. Guess it's not a factor here, but it is something to be cautious about in case others reading this aren't aware of this changeover. The lug nuts must match the wheels.
The only thing you need do here is make or acquire the handset, which resided in the upper part of the LX console. That's only about 20% of the phone. The rest is a big black box made by Fujitsu plus a power supply that resides in the left rear fender. The bracket that holds all that could be...
Camping out in Bloomington IN at my brother’s place waiting for the eclipse Monday afternoon. It’s the first night out with the awning recycled from the wrecked 80, the rebuilt sleeper drawer system, and the Kelty Backroads shelter.
The important points here are OBDII making it easy to deal with faults and fault codes and airbags, especially airbags if you're like me, walked away from an accident where they made a major contribution to me walking away from it in good shape.
Catching up on recent projects in this post. Finally got the bungee up around the inside of the cabin roof, so test fitted the curtains. I like it dark inside when sleeping and am cheap, too, so I use landscape cloth to make curtains. I foldover the top and using hot glue, entrap small blocks of...
Definitely a possibility. All the vital rubbery parts are probably crumbly now.
When you replaced the battery did you check the fusible links? They're another potential failure point.
As mentioned, partsouq.com is a great resource. Put you VIN in and it will spit out the factory parts diagrams specific to your truck. Click through the various diagrams to call up the parts that might be of concern. They'll either list them as available (the inventory is real time and accurate)...
Absolutely vital to good cooling.
If you haven't checked and it's still the original radiator, go over it carefully with your gloved hand (or one of those remote reading thermometers) after getting it up to full operating temp. Most of the original radiators are old enough that they suffer from...
