I’d rather buy a single owner all original sub 100,000 mile mint 80 series on BOT for a quarter of the price of this Frankenstein truck. But yes, to each his own.
USA spec trucks don‘t have this ID plate on the fire wall. This info is on the VIN sticker on the driver side door jam. As mentioned VIN search above is your best bet. VIN is on the left driver side dash
Small logo is the toyorad logo. Company that made the radiator and shroud. I’m guessing the larger symbol may be a Japanese character for left, right top or bottom?
Still available. I bought them for my 93 when I removed the side steps. No USA 80 series had the running boards from the factory. All were port installed.
The reality of the 80 series Land Cruiser head gasket is this. After 25-30 years on an original 1FZFE head gasket there are only two types of owners. Those that have replaced the head gasket and those that will replace the head gasket in the near future. The only question is do you replace on...
everything above the space is a factory installed option. From the carpet mats on down is all port installed/Toyota USA installed options. 80 series would arrive from Japan and port installed options would be added I’m guessing based on dealer or regional preferences
Not OEM factory installed but Toyota USA port installed. Multiple variants of this tow hitch based on the region of the country your 80 series was delivered to.
Do you have the bolts/nuts that go with the hitch?I don’t recall any spacers on mine when I removed it from my 93. Underside of frame has the pre threaded holes the hitch bolts go into. Install is sort of a 2 person job.
Plenty of 80s in the middle east/Australia running in temps at or above with OEM rads. Those climates is where Toyota does most of their R+D for the Land Cruiser.
I personally wouldn’t want a Chinese radiator in any of my vehicles let alone my cruiser.
