Im not sure if a 91 had it but I had a temperature sensor go bad on mine that stopped the AC from working. Iforget what it was caled but its on the drivers side of the block under the intake. Its meant to shut the AC down if the motor begins to oveeheat.
I'm not sure how many there were. I have a black CE, no lockers. I think they were just the last run of 80's. Not as sought after as a 40th Anniversary IMHO
There is also a coolant temp sensor on the left side of the block under the intake that switches the AC off if the motor gets too hot. Went bad on mine, relatively cheap fix
Wow I'm going too be an odd one out here. I have never tried Duratracs but I bet they perform well based on everyone's accounts. Presently I have 285 Falken Rocky Mountains and I am very happy with them. For under a grand with road hazard it was a smokin deal too. Good tread wear warranty
To answer your question: I purchased my snorkel from Leitian on EBay. This was the one that was $155 with free shipping. It shipped within 24 hours of me buying it and I received it at my doorstep in Colorado 11 days later. Pretty good speed for traveling halfway around the world.:D
I kinda had the same question about mine. It has the "Collectors Edition" nameplates on the fenders and tailgate, it's black with gunmetal grey bumpers and running boards, no other identifying markings. It hasn't been repainted.

Did you sell your rig Timber? I saw it posted on Colo Spgs. craigslist a few days ago.
In keeping on track my 97 FZJ80 has 190,500 on the clock. I hope to get all I can out of the original motor. I'd be thrilled to see it click over 300K.
I have to agree, those are some pretty gnarly trails to be running in a big SUV. My Jeep wrangler was lifted 6 inches, locked F/R and running 36 inch IROKS when I ran Holy Cross last. Still a nightmare in french creek.
I figured it would be better to resurrect this thread instead of starting a new one. I installed my CB antenna with the Firestik door jamb mount with a 4 foot firestik antenna. Driving it for the first time today with the antenna i hit a stiff cross wind and the antenna starting whipping in...
Well I received mine today after a nominal 11 day shipping time. The box, it came in however, looked like it had been run over by a truck. I dont know what it speakes of the plastic quality of these, but despite the box being crushed, the snorkel looks perfect, not a single mark!
The tilt mechanism on my 97 FZJ80 loosened up so that there is about 1/8" to 1/4" of up and down play in the steering wheel. I did some searching and found one other thread regarding this little problem, but no solutions. Its nothing really major. Just an annoyance going over rough roads. Has...
Well after a evening of sanding and 4 cans of satin black Rustoleum it looks almost good as new!
I'll see how I like it before I decide to narrow it. Next up is a floor for it.
Awesome, thanks for the input guys. I plan on pulling it off and starting a repaint on it once the weather clears up.
What would you guys recommend for a floor on it? I'm surprised it only has the three crossbars and nothing else for a bottom.
I found an old Jeep Wagoneer being parted out. It had this sitting on top of it. :D
Its an original Con-Ferr. Sorry for the Garage pics, It is raining cats and dogs outside!
When I inquired about it I was met with " If you want to pull it off, you can have it. I dont think anyone...
