All,
After 12 years of owning my '97 FJ-80, its time to let it go. I just posted it in the classified section. I wanted to say "Thank you" to everyone who has helped me directly or posted great write-ups on their mods and repairs. I will truly miss the feeling of community on the FJ-80 forum...

I called another company and they didn't have the radiator in stock and they said they would check around. While waiting, I saw Rochmpr's response and ordered through that company. I then got the return call from Auto Cool in Chattanooga TN. They would have shipped it to AZ...
Thanks, Rochmpr! I called and spoke to Isis at Radiator Doctor (Dan was busy) and they will have one dropped shipped this week to me. $258.60 including tax and shipping seems like a great deal. Thanks again!
I need to replace the radiator in my '97, is a Koyo A1918 an exact fit for my Land Cruiser? I've read threads that people use the Koyo as a replacement radiator, but someone told me last night, that "you have to make them work". So are the mounting holes, AT lines, hose inlets, etc. all in the...
Hi,
I'm MtnBikeAZ1 and I've been a Jeep-Aholic for over 18 years, owning six Jeeps. On my honor, its been 22 months and 15 days since my last Jeep. ;)
My Rubicon just wasn't working for my family of six. I started looking for something else and no way was I going to buy a Jeep Commander - what...
Monty231,Nice looking truck, I like the Collector's Editions. Here's mine so you can get an idea of what yours would look like with a Slee bumper, Metal Tech sliders, etc (excuse the smaller than stock tires:bang:). Enjoy!
On a 1,040 mile trip, the best I got was 17.77 mpg running about 62 mph. In one 305 mile section of the trip, I got 16.35 mpg. My average for the round trip from Florida to Tennessee and back was 15.80 mpg. My LC has the lift/armor listed below and weighs 5,500 lbs with a full tank of gas, no...
I think the price is high and I would keep looking. When I was searching for mine, I looked at ebay (and autotrader) everyday for 3 months and kept a record of the selling prices. Lexus usually sells for $300-$500 less than the same year LC and they normally had about 10K more miles for the...
How is a nutsert attached to the underside of the roof? Is it spotwelded, cemented, have metal burrs, etc? Trying to figure out what keeps it from spinning when the screws are tightened from the top.
Thanks,
Thanks for the thread, you did a great job on your roof and headliner. Its amazing how much work it can be when a little .25 cent part (nutsert) goes bad.:crybaby: Did you get a noticeable decrease in noise when you added the sound dampener? Better insulation?
Doug,
If you broke out the nutcerts, what are the allen screws threaded into? Did you have to remove the headliner to get to the underside to install the screws?
Thanks,
NLXTACY,
I read your thread about your rack accident and the suggestions people gave. What did you end up doing? Did you fix the holes and put on a factory rack or cover them up and buy an aftermarket rack? If you covered them, what did you use?
I recently purchased my LC and I temporarily removed the factory roof rack to buff out the oxidized paint. When I did, I found rust around the holes in the roof (beware of hidden rust!). I took it down to bare metal, primed and repainted. I put the screws back in the holes so I could keep paint...
