    Not a 12K, but I have the Runva 11XP-S in my ShortBus. 11,000 lbs, synthetic rope, wireless remote, $550 shipped. Used it 3-4 times in the last few days during the blizzard, pulling stupid neighbors out of the snow.

    I've been using the 12-inch version of these steel cables for sockets, separate rings for 3/8 and 1/2 drive: http://www.countycomm.com/ring.html It's the only socket solution I've been happy with. Just toss the rings in a tool bag.
